Our Mission

To build and nurture a community that is welcoming, inclusive, and restorative. On-playa, that means offering simple bicycle repairs, iced coffee, interactive games, and a communal place to gather in the shade. Off-playa, our community efforts extend from our tightly-bonded camp family around the world to our larger Burner community by integrating the ten principles of Burning Man and bringing our communal spirit to the default world.

Cafe & Bike Shop

Typically located in the 4:30 sector of Black Rock City at Burning Man, our Cafe serves Iced Coffee to our community. We’re usually open Mon-Sat 9AM to 1PM. We served over 200 fellow burners per day in the past few years! We're looking forward to even more next time we return!

Our daily bike repair shop is beloved by the community. Our experienced Bike Leads head up our crew of volunteers who help get our dusty friends back to their burn when their bikes break down. Last year, our fantastic Bike crew helped an average of 45 burners get back on the road each day, fixing everything from popped tubes to broken chains.

Game Lounge

Flat Tire Cafe provides an interactive game lounge with favorites like giant Connect 4, and tether ball. Our lounge area has loads of board and card games, and plenty of shady space to hang out and get to know other burners.

We also host community events, music, and readings. Our big shady area is perfect for people to come in out of the heat, and is usually a very lively area.

We are lit up and pretty at night, so day or night we've got a great atmosphere for our fellow burners to enjoy!
